DIGITAL NOMADICS

 In today's fast paced world it is easy to loose steps and tumble. The trick is not to crumble under the pressure. I faced a barrage of problems, dysfunctions in the family and pressure to maintain livelihood. The family business got in trouble because of the dysfunctions coupled with hard economic times, out of the rage and desperation I found myself in a situation I never predicted.  All of the sudden I was in the street with a old 325 BMW with a transmission that was breaking every 2 months. Mechanics never really fixed it. I had 100 dollars in my pocket. I started applying for work, and that turned into 2 years of driving around looking for a place to hide from the crackheads and police to get some sleep and meet basic needs. Every now and then I would get a 100 dollar money order to avoid getting stranded but even so I would end up stranded in the National Forest (hiding from the crackheads and police).  I faced harsh weather, became a better camper and sort of survived with the help of food stamps.   

  

 I really do not know what digital platforms work best for personal vs business. I feel like social media for personal is a big waste of time.

 I am now looking at Facebook for business in order to create revenue through ads.  There are several tutorials online and that is the main reason I took this class to figure out solutions.  

 If I  can get results from twitter, snap chat, or any other platform,I will eventually use them however I think for now I will focus only on Facebook for business.

Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

   Jon Golding  Well in the world of marketing, I feel like we are bombarded with all sorts of marketing everyday to the point it gets really annoying.  Peoples inboxes are full of junk to the point it actually makes finding personal emails difficult.   Although they can give you a sense of "belonging"  to a niche, I personally do not feel they would be very effective for yoga clothing buyers.    Not sending a news letter for my products.  Did Supreme clothing use emails to hype up their brand? Not really:   "Another odd detail about Supreme is the low sending frequency of their emails. Week 11: Marketing with Twitter, LinkedIn, Social Influencers

Jon Golding    I might be wrong but twitter sort of has the feel of myspace in decline.  I have been studying other tutorials on marketing and they rarely use twitter to market.  Most of the fuss in marketing tutorials are about how to place yourself in google searches, using influencers or youtube channels, and facebook ads among other methods like posting on multiple sales platforms without having an audience.  Not only that there is a whole lot of politics and issues within twitter I would rather avoid it altogether.    I have a LinkedIn account yet it is irrelevant to the Niyama Gear brand. I could use it to recruit however at the time I am not hiring.  It is useful for professions like investment bankers, people that work in office environments., or other formal matters.  Usually the crowd in LinkedIn is lost in procedures that are totally off from my process.  I guess perhaps I could use it to contact DEF JAM records however I am not running a show where I need headliners at the
